Co-op Arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Microsoft Store

The wait is over (if you’re a PS5 player)! Co-op is now fully supported on PlayStation 5, and will be coming to Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Store in the next couple of days! Gather your friends, share a hot stew at a tavern, raise an army together, and free Karvenia from the tyrannical grasp side by side. Who knows, maybe soon you’ll get to ride into the sunset together…

Unlike with Steam updates, online features like co-op have to be tested and certified separately (and much more rigorously, as we’ve found out) by Sony and Microsoft, and getting there took us a little more back and forth than we'd hoped, so thank you for all your patience in this neverending month.

The update also includes a myriad of navigation, stability, performance, quest, and other fixes and improvements since the original release on consoles. Most of the hotfixes we've released on Steam since the launch are included as well.

A couple of things still on the way

Xbox and Microsoft Store players, we haven't forgotten you. Those two versions required some more time and aren't part of today's release yet, but we expect them to go live in a few days. We’ll make sure to announce it as soon as it arrives, and the changelog will be identical to this one.

We’re also starting to test the next console update already, which should bring all the remaining fixes over from the Steam version to PS5 and Xbox. In the meantime, please report any new issues if you find them on our website or discord.

With co-op live and remaining fixes underway, our next big thing will be to deliver crossplay - an ability to play with your friends no matter which platform you’re playing on. That is, once again, a new online feature that will need to be certified by Microsoft and Sony, so we’d rather not speculate how long it will take and will instead let you know once we actually have a concrete date.
